Born on a cusp?
A cusp birthday is one that falls within a day or two of a change in sign. If you were born on 20 or 21 March, for instance, you could be Pisces or Aries depending on the year and the time of day. People born near the edge are sometimes said to carry traits of both signs, and some astrologers talk about a "cusp" as a blend. That is a popular idea, not a rule, and the sign you actually are is simply the one the Sun was in at your moment of birth.
Why the dates move
The Sun does not change sign at the same moment every year. The change falls at slightly different times from one year to the next, which is why different sources give different dates for the start and end of a sign, and sometimes a day's difference.
