Pisces is drawn as two fish swimming in opposite directions, tied together by a cord. In one Greek-Roman story, Aphrodite (Venus) and her son Eros (Cupid) were fleeing the monster Typhon. They transformed into fish and leapt into a river, tying themselves together so they wouldn't be separated. The two fish were then placed in the sky.
