This policy explains what information starcipher.net ("Star Cipher", "we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. Star Cipher is run by Greachain. If you have any question about this policy, email [email protected].

The short version

• You can read every horoscope, tarot reading and guide on this site without an account.
• If you sign up for emails, we keep your email address and chosen star sign so we can send them. Nothing else.
• Tarot draws and any preferences you set are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
• We use Google AdSense to show ads, and Google may use cookies to do this. You can control this through the cookie banner and Google's ad settings.
• We never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Email sign-ups. If you choose to receive your sign's reading by email, we collect your email address and the star sign you pick. This is stored in the site's own database, hosted by Cloudflare. We don't share it with any mailing-list company. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your details at any time.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address only as long as needed to reply.

Information stored in your browser. Some features, such as remembering your star sign or your most recent tarot draw, use your browser's local storage. This stays on your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Analytics. We don't use any analytics or tracking tools of our own.

Cookies and advertising

Star Cipher is free because it shows ads. We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message and can accept or refuse advertising cookies before any are set.

How we use your information

We use the information above to send the emails you asked for, answer your messages, keep the site running and secure, show ads, and understand in general terms which pages are useful. Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent (email sign-ups, advertising cookies) and our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (server logs).

How long we keep it

Email sign-up details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Emails you send us are deleted once the conversation is finished, unless we need to keep them for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Children

Star Cipher is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
